Marry Me....

Marry Me is the brainchild of writer/creator Bobby Crosby, also of +EV and Last Blood, and is illustrated by Remy Mokhtar. The story revolves around the character of Stasia, a burnt out pop princess on the verge of what seems to be a nervous breakdown when she does something drastic in front of her audience, and that something is the title and the theme of this comic.

From the first page I was very impressed with the artwork. Remy Mokhtar is a diamond in the webcomic rough. His style is reminiscent of Gen 13's J. Scott Campbell when I first picked that comic up way back when. The coloring is excellent as well. Shading is used to great effect and the colors compliment each other nicely. Quality, professional work. I would love to see what he could do with some action scenes. Getting paid for your work yet Remy?

The storytelling fell into place right along with the artwork. Bobby(can I call you Bobby?) has a firm grasp on humor with the "I didn't stop peeing" gag getting a good laugh from me. Things moved along briskly as well. Some soap opera style comics tend to drag where pacing is concerned, but so far that isn't happening here. I didn't find myself wanting to rush through the pages, and actually was hoping the archive was bigger when it stopped at 14 pages.

In closing I only see good things in store for this comic. Yes it is still in it's infancy, but with high quality writing and artwork like this I can recommend it to anyone looking for a new comic to enjoy and bookmark. After checking this out I HAVE to see what this Last Blood is all about. Good stuff!

This comic is....Highly Recommended

Bobby is fine, sure, and Eisu (Remy) gets paid for several art projects, I believe, including "Marry Me." He's a total pro. Thanks for the nice review.
